South Texas Hall of Fame Process
Criteria for nomination into the South Texas Band Director's Hall of Fame:
Must meet the following criteria:1. Eligible two years after retirement (retirement as defined by TRS) but not before the minimum age of 60 years old.2. Had a significant impact on the Region XIV Band Division.3. Should be of strong moral character.4. Professional, Community, and/or Service Affiliations.Vital Information to be included on the form:1. Full Name2. Short & Condensed Biographical Information3. Some family history4. Address5. Date of Birth/Death6. Name of person making the nomination7. Quality Color or Black/White Picture (attach with pdf to email) - For Website
Proceedure:
1. Nomination form available below for you to fill out and save with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
(Save as stexas-hof-band_director_name)
2. Person making nomination must be a Region XIV current or retired band director
3. Nomination form due on or before the High School Region Band Concert/Clinic
(coincide with first day of clinic rehearsals in December)
4. Nomination form must be submitted to the selection committee chair person by the due date
5. Selection of inductees into the Hall of Fame shall be made exclusively by the selection committee
6. Nomination must receive six votes or 2/3rd majority vote from the selection committee
7. Selection committee must be present to vote
8. The selection committee shall make their selection prior to the annual TMEA convention
9. Once selected, the inductees shall be announced at the Region XIV meeting during the convention or spring meeting and all subsequent TMEA region XIV Band Division Concerts & Events
10. An award presentation shall be help at site to be determined by the membership at a later time
